Rick & Michelle Bohler's 67 Firebird

On June 2nd 2006 I purchased this car from e-bay for 10K. I could drive it and it looked good, The car had almost 70% new metal, but most of it was installed incorrectly. It had mostly stock parts and a 455 Oldsmobile motor.

I wanted a truly custom bird, I started updating performance parts like the suspension breaks and such but the gaps in the body lines were driving me nuts so I took the Bird to some trusted body workers and got the news the car was butchered. I found out that the car was once a HOMEMADE convertible and needed to be cut apart and re-welded correctly back together. We had agreed upon a price that turned out to be 1/3 of what I would eventually pay to the shop.

As a professional I designer drew up a design and stuck with it. The Bird spent a little over one year in that shop 2 months by me installing the interior, then three months getting a new Pontiac motor by my good friend Gary Harrison (Harrison Racing Enterprises Jax FL .) See the parts list below.

Shortly after completing the car it was featured in High Performance Pontiac Magazine, It was on the cover and had a six page spread including the centerfold. Check it out: http://www.highperformancepontiac.com/features/hppp_1009_1967_pontiac_firebird/viewall.html
Now I just enjoy driving the car on the weekends to car shows and Dixie Chapter Pontiac events.
